About Little Voices

Little Voices was established in 2007 by Jane James (nee Maudsley), a classically-trained opera singer with a background as a singing teacher.

Through our multi-award-winning inspirational drama and singing lessons, children and young people aged 4 to 18 across the UK gain confidence & life skills, alongside developing their talents Our popular sessions, which take place mid-week after-school, all follow the LAMDA syllabus; and we regularly run workshops, theatre weeks, and holiday camps in the school holidays.

We also work with a growing number of schools to support their arts curriculum, either within the school day, or as an enhanced after-school provision.

Full training & support

Our mission is to help each individual child reach their full potential – and we’re just as dedicated when it comes to the support we give each of our franchisees to help them reach their potential, too.

Don’t let the fact that you lack any previous business experience hold you back. We have an incredibly supportive Head Office team who’ll be with you every step of the way to help you build a business that’s successful and profitable.

As a new franchisee, you’ll receive 5 days’ initial training, including finance, HR, how to recruit tutors, sales & marketing – and of course, how to plan and run your weekly Little Voices lessons.

You’ll also receive additional externally-accredited training on things like safeguarding, first aid, GDPR, infection control, and fire marshalling.

All your training will take place online, and as well as making sure it’s fun and interactive, we’ll also tailor it to your individual needs.

You’ll then enjoy regular ongoing training to keep your skills & knowledge up-to-date, as well as full day-to-day support as needed from our highly-experienced team to help you grow your business.

What the Franchisees say

SAMANTHA MACGREGOR
WEST SURREY, UK
“From the day I first enquired about Little Voices to the present, Jane has been consistent in her aim of bringing confidence to EVERYONE. Every pupil, parent, tutor, franchisee, head office member, headteacher and supplier. I have watched her listen to feedback and respond in the most innovative ways. The reason I decided to take the plunge and become a franchisee was because Jane built my confidence in what Little Voices stood for and showed genuine care for me as an individual (with my own hopes and dreams) and she continues to do so 4 ½ years in.

I taught for another well-known franchise for many years and whilst I loved it, my work/life balance was affecting my health and happiness. I knew it wasn't sustainable long-term, and started researching solutions that would allow me to continue to do what I loved in a way that would free me up to spend more time with friends and family. Little Voices has been that solution for me.

I started my franchise in 2015 alongside teaching for other schools, and slowly it grew and opportunities within schools became a reality. I now have multiple locations and the ability to provide bespoke solutions in different settings to meet the needs of pupils, schools, and parents. Flexibility has been key in the success of my business, and Jane's mindset of "anything is possible" provides for these opportunities.

Jane is the most inspiring person I know - a true leader. She works hard to constantly learn and grow herself so she can educate her network on best practice in every situation. Her door is always open, and the level of support she has built for the network means our Little Voices family continues to go from strength to strength.”
